オアシスチャペル信仰告白

わたしたちは、旧約と新約、計六十六巻からなる聖書が、唯一の書き記された「神のことば」であることを信じます①。聖書は、聖霊に動かされた人々によって書かれたものであり、ひとつひとつの言葉が超自然的に霊感されている②生きた書物です③。わたしたちは、聖書が、偽ることのない神ご自身の言葉であるゆえ誤りがなく④、わたしたちを自由にする真理であり⑤、この世の全ての行為・思想・信条を判別する絶対的基準⑥、クリスチャンの一致の中心⑦であると信じます。 We believe that the Bible, consisting of the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments, is the only written Word of God [1]. We believe in the verbal plenary inspiration of the Scriptures [2], written by men moved by the Holy Spirit. The Bible is the living [3], inerrant, and infallible Word of God [4]; it is the truth that sets us free [5], the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds, and opinions should be tried [6], and the true center of Christian unity [7].

わたしたちは、聖であり①、義であり②、また愛である③、唯一の④生ける真の神⑤を信じます。この神は、全知全能⑥、無限⑦、永遠⑧、不変⑨の霊であられます⑩。このお方は人格的実在者であって、本質において同一、能力において同等の父・子・聖霊なる三位の神であり⑪、万物の創造者⑫、贖い主⑬、支配者であられます⑭。 We believe in the one [4] living and true God [5] who is holy [1], righteous [2], and loving [3]. God is an infinite [7], eternal [8], and unchangeable [9] Spirit [10], who is omniscient and omnipotent [6]. He exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, who are equal in essence, power, and glory [11]. He is the Sovereign Creator [12], Redeemer [13], and Ruler of the universe [14].

わたしたちは、人間が神の愛のご意志によって①、神の栄光のために②、神のかたちに創造された③存在であることを信じます。人間は、男と女とに創造された④、非常に素晴らしい⑤神の作品⑥です。人間には本来、完全な義と聖⑦が与えられており、神と愛し合い⑧、人と愛し合い⑨、自然と愛し合う⑩存在として創造されました。 We believe that man was created in the image of God [3] by His loving will [1] and for His glory [2]. Man was created male and female [4] and is a very good [5] workmanship of God [6]. Originally, man was endowed with perfect righteousness and holiness [7], created to love God [8], love one another [9], and exercise dominion over nature [10].

わたしたちは、人間がサタンの誘惑によって神の命令にそむき、自ら神との関係を罪によって破壊し、神と対立し、人と対立し、自然と対立する存在になったことを信じます①。罪の結果、人間の本性は全く堕落し②、全人類が生まれながらの罪人となり③、死に服するものとなりました④。それゆえ、人間は自分で自分を救えず⑤、神からの救いがなければ罪の刑罰を受けて永遠に滅びるしかない存在です⑥。 We believe that man, tempted by Satan, voluntarily transgressed God's command and fell from his original holiness [1]. As a result of sin, human nature became totally depraved [2], and all mankind are now sinners by nature and by choice [3], subject to death [4]. Therefore, man is utterly unable to save himself [5], and without God's salvation, is under just condemnation to eternal ruin [6].

わたしたちは、永遠のはじめより神の子であるイエス・キリスト①を信じます。イエス・キリストは、聖霊によってみごもった処女マリヤから生まれ②、罪のない生涯を送られた③まことの神であり④、また同時にまことの人であられます⑤。イエス・キリストは唯一の救い主であり⑥、贖いの御業を成し遂げるために、わたしたちの罪の身代わりとして十字架の上で血を流し⑦、死んで葬られた後、三日目に栄光のからだによみがえり⑧、天に昇って父なる神の右に座し⑨、大祭司としてわたしたちのために執り成していてくださいますが⑩、世の終わりに再び地上に来られます⑪。 We believe in Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God [1]. Conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary [2], He lived a sinless life [3], being truly God [4] and truly man [5]. He is the only Mediator and Savior [6]. To accomplish redemption, He offered Himself as a vicarious and substitutionary sacrifice, shedding His blood on the cross for our sins [7]. He rose bodily from the dead on the third day [8], ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of the Father [9]. He intercedes for us as our High Priest [10] and will return visibly to earth [11].

わたしたちは、主イエス・キリストの十字架の贖いによって、わたしたちの救いに必要な代価が支払われたことを信じます①。この贖いによってもたらされた救いは、わたしたちが罪を赦されて②義と認められ③神の子とされ④さばきから永遠のいのち⑤へと移されるという、神からの驚くべき恵みの賜物です⑥。聖霊によって新しく生まれ⑦、罪を悔い改めて⑧イエス・キリストを自分の救い主として心から信じ、主として告白した人⑨が、この救いにあずかります。この救いは、人間のどんな行いにもよらず⑩、ただ一方的な神の恵みによるものであり⑪、この救い以外にわたしたちの救われる道はありません⑫。この救いに真にあずかった者は、地上において新しく創造された者として生き⑫、永遠にこの救いの中に保たれます⑬。 We believe that salvation is the marvelous gift of God's grace [6], accomplished solely by the finished work of Christ on the cross [1]. Through faith in Him, we are forgiven [2], justified [3], and adopted as children of God [4]. Salvation is received by those who are born again by the Holy Spirit [7], repent of their sins [8], and confess Jesus Christ as Lord [9]. It is not by any human works [10] but solely by grace [11]. We believe that all true believers are kept by God's power and are thus secure in Christ forever [14].

わたしたちは、神であられる聖霊①を信じ、人はただ聖霊によってのみ「イエスは主である」との真実な告白をすることができると信じます②。聖霊は、罪と義とさばきについて人の目を開かせ③、救い主イエス・キリストヘと招いて新しく生まれさせ、信仰による救いへと導き入れてくださいます④。さらに聖霊はわたしたちの内に住み⑤、わたしたちが教会を通して神に仕えるために必要な賜物を与えて⑥、わたしたちの人格・品性・行動を御言葉に従わせてキリストに似たものへと変え続けてくださいます⑦。わたしたちは、救いと聖化の保証として、御国を受け継ぐ日のために約束の聖霊をもって証印を押されています⑧。 We believe in the Holy Spirit, who is God [1]. He convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment [3], regenerates the sinner, and leads them into salvation through faith [4]. The Holy Spirit indwells every believer [5], empowers them with gifts for service [6], and continually transforms their character to become like Christ (Sanctification) [7]. We are sealed with the Holy Spirit as the guarantee of our inheritance [8].

わたしたちは、すべての真の新生者によって構成される①キリストのからだであるひとつの教会②を信じます。この見えない普遍的教会は、特定の時代と地域に存在する各個教会の内にのみ現れます。各個教会は、バプテスマ(浸礼)を受けた信者の、契約によって組織された共同体であり③、自治独立した会衆制によって治められ④ます。わたしたちは、神によって立てられた指導者たちの導きのもとで⑤、世の終わりまで神を礼拝し、礼典を守り、福音を宣教することを使命とします⑥。わたしたち一人ひとりは、この教会の交わりに自ら加わり、その交わりを愛の内に建て上げ⑦、その使命を遂行する責任を積極的に担います⑦。 We believe in one universal church, the body of Christ [2], composed of all born-again believers [1]. A local church is a covenanted body of baptized believers [3], governed by the principles of autonomy and congregational rule [4]. Under the guidance of pastors and deacons [5], our mission is to worship God, observe the ordinances, and proclaim the Gospel [6]. Each member bears the responsibility to build up the body in love [7] and carry out its great commission [8].

わたしたちは、キリスト御自身によって定められた礼典が、バプテスマ(浸礼)①と主の晩餐②のみであり、主が再び来られるまで、地域教会において行なわれるべき③象徴的儀式であることを信じます。 We believe that the ordinances established by Christ are Baptism and the Lord's Supper. These are symbolic acts of obedience to be observed in the local church, conveying no saving grace, until He comes again [3].

１．バプテスマ(浸礼) 1. Baptism

バプテスマは、公に信仰を告白し、教会の交わりに加わる意志を表明した信者に、父・子・聖霊の御名において授けられます④。これは、信者がキリストの死と葬りと復活にあずかり、罪に死んで新しい生命にあって生きる者とされていることを表わします⑤。それゆえ私たちは本人の信仰に基づかない幼児洗礼を否定し、聖書に倣って全身を水に沈める浸礼の形式を重んじます⑥。 Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit [4]. It is a solemn and beautiful emblem of our faith in the crucified, buried, and risen Savior [5]. We reject infant baptism and hold that believer's baptism is a prerequisite to church membership [6].

２．主の晩餐（聖餐式） 2. The Lord's Supper

主の晩餐は、キリストの十字架上のからだと血の象徴であるパンとぶどう液にあずかることにより、キリストの贖いの死を記念する⑦と共に、キリストの再臨を指し示し⑧、教会の交わりと一致を固くさせるものです⑨。それゆえバプテスマ(浸礼)を受けた信者は、自分を吟味してこれにあずかるべきです⑨。 The Lord's Supper is a memorial in which believers partake of bread and the fruit of the vine to commemorate Christ's dying love [7]. It symbolizes His body and blood, points to His second coming [8], and signifies church unity [9]. Solemn self-examination should always precede partaking [10].

わたしたちは、教会が国家の力に左右されることも、また、政治的に力を持つことも相応しいことではないと考え、教会と国家の政治機構の分離を主張します①。わたしたちは為政者のために祈り②、彼らに誠実に従うべきですが③、唯一の主であられる神にのみ責任を負うわたしたちの信仰と良心は、神のみこころに反するいかなる国家権力の強制からも自由です④。 We believe that civil government is of divine appointment for the interests of human society, and that magistrates are to be prayed for [2] and conscientiously obeyed [3], except in things opposed to the will of our Lord Jesus Christ [4]. We advocate for the separation of church and state, and affirm the liberty of conscience, responsible only to God [1].

わたしたちは、わたしたちの救い主であり、終末の主であられるキリストが、偉大な力と栄光の中に見えるかたちで、からだをもって再臨されることを信じます①。この再臨によってキリストは、ご自身の花嫁である教会を迎え入れ②、信じる者に新しい霊のからだを与えて③救いを完成されますが、信じないものには、永遠の滅亡の刑罰をもって報いを与えられます④。主はまた、復活した聖徒たちと共に地上の千年王国を治めた後⑤、すべてのものを新たにして御国を父なる神にお渡しになります⑥。それゆえキリストの再臨は、わたしたちの希望であり⑦、わたしたちは生涯を通してこの希望にあふれ、日々の信仰の業に励むことができるのです⑧。 We believe in the premillennial, bodily, and visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ [1]. He will return to receive His bride, the Church [2], and to judge the world [4]. After reigning on earth for a thousand years with the saints [5], He will deliver the kingdom to God the Father [6]. This blessed hope [7] vitalizes our daily service and holy living [8].
